On-Site Water Treatment

What Sewtreat Does

SewTreat provides holistic on-site water treatment solutions designed to help facilities optimise all available water sources and achieve long-term water resilience. Each project begins with a comprehensive site water balance evaluation, identifying opportunities to recover, treat, and reuse water efficiently while ensuring compliance with environmental and operational standards.

Our Scope Includes

Site-specific water balance and water availability assessments
Evaluation of potential sources: borehole, rainwater, greywater, and wastewater
Custom water and wastewater treatment plant design and integration
Full automation and monitoring via SewTreat Live
Turnkey installation, commissioning, and support
On Site WT 2
On Site WT 3

How It Works

Every facility is unique — with varying water demands, quality requirements, and source availability. SewTreat’s integrated approach ensures that each available water stream is optimised for its best possible use:

Borehole & Rainwater Integration: When groundwater or rainwater is available, SewTreat designs treatment systems that combine these sources to reduce dependence on municipal supply.
Greywater Reuse: Water from wash bays, showers, or laundries can be treated through biological and filtration processes for non-potable reuse such as toilet flushing, irrigation, or vehicle washing.
Wastewater Reuse: Where borehole or rainwater harvesting is not viable, SewTreat implements advanced biological treatment and polishing systems to recycle blackwater. Depending on treatment standards, this water can be reused for non-potable purposes — or, with additional reverse osmosis, upgraded to potable standards compliant with SANS 241.

By integrating multiple sources, SewTreat solutions reduce strain on borehole abstraction, lower municipal dependence, and deliver a balanced, self-sustaining water management system suited for industrial, commercial, and rural applications.
