Typical Process

SewTreat’s backup water systems are fully automated and designed to ensure uninterrupted water supply to the facility. A standard configuration includes:

Municipal Integration: Municipal water continuously fills the SewTreat storage tanks, sized to provide a 24-hour backup capacity.
Booster Pump Operation: Booster pumps ensure consistent supply to the facility, maintaining pressure via the existing bladder system.
Flow Monitoring: A flowmeter records consumption and transmits data to the SewTreat PLC every 15 minutes for live performance tracking.
Automation & Visibility: The PLC interfaces with the SewTreat Live monitoring platform, providing real-time system visibility and alerts.
Pressure Monitoring: A pressure transmitter monitors pump discharge pressure to confirm stable delivery to the facility.
Failover Control: A pressure switch on the municipal line detects pressure drops and signals the PLC to automatically switch supply to backup storage, ensuring uninterrupted operation.
Manual Override: In the event of pump or power failure, isolation valves allow the system to revert manually to municipal supply, maintaining continuity without downtime.
